![]() There is some sign that is going to happen. And it's not until we get that high pressure out of the way that we start to see a little bit of relief. Wouldn't be surprised if we saw a heat advisory in place for Monday and maybe even Tuesday in at least a few spots, we have high pressure, bringing that heat that you've been reading about in Texas into our area. Similar situation for Monday and even Tuesday, we're going to see enough humidity to create some pretty high heat index values. Add that humidity and you're talking about a heat index of 109. We're calling for a high temperature of 98 degrees going to be close to the hottest day of the year tomorrow. Take a look at our forecast here for tomorrow. We're talking about dangerous heat and humidity lasting into the early part of the week. It gets dangerous at that level if you have to be outside Sunday afternoon, take plenty of breaks, drink plenty of water, wear loose fitting light colored clothing as well. ![]() ![]() When you add the humid with the heat in place, we're gonna expect heat index values up to 100 and 10 degrees. We're going to have that in effect Sunday from noon until 8 p.m. It includes Raleigh and Durham Fayetteville, Goldsboro, Sanford, Rocky Mount Wilson. And the National Weather service has put much of our viewing area under a heat advisory. It got up to 95 degrees Saturday in Raleigh, we're expecting even warmer temperatures for Sunday.
